Trazemos à você a origem e um pouco da história do calibre que deu nome ao nosso Clube e Escola de Tiro, o temido 357 Magnum, o famoso “canhão de mão”!
O calibre 357 Magnum foi desenvolvido por Elmer Keith e Phillip Sharpe em parceria com a empresa americana Smith & Wesson, em meados da década de 1930.
O intuito do projeto era encontrar um calibre de revólver que fizesse frente ao da empresa Colt, que havia desenvolvido em
1929 o 38 Super para pistolas.
O 357 Mag deu origem às munições magnum. Ele é um calibre extremamente forte e “agressivo”, (se fosse um calibre permitido, seria uma execelente opção para defesa residencial, comercial e de propriedades rurais).
